HOUSEKEEPING
Standard juicing uses heat to extract the juice from fruit and veg. This isn’t ideal as it can cause some of those precious nutrients and enzymes to oxidise and we don’t want you to miss out on all that good stuff! Cold pressed juice essentially crushes the fruit or veg and then uses pressure to squeeze out every last drop of juice. Cold pressing ensures a more concentrated, nutrient-dense delivery.
Our juices are pressed daily and the juices delivered to your door are made the same day! Talk about fresh.
The shelf life of xpressed Juices is up to six days as long as they are stored correctly (the fridge pretty please). As we avoid preservatives and additives, they won’t last quite as long as the tinned food in your Nan’s cupboard, but they’re usually consumed well before then anyway! Correct storage is a must and juices need to be chilled in a refrigerator or esky, below 5 degrees Celsius.
Because of the fresh, raw nature of xpressed Juices, pulp and fibre may settle at the bottom of the bottle. This is normal! Any separation in liquid and pulp is to be expected, just give the bottle a good shimmy and shake before consuming.
Juices are not designed to be frozen as the contents will expand and the glass bottles may break. We don’t recommend putting yourself in harm’s way in this sense and therefore don’t recommend freezing your xpressed products.
What we reap from the branches, we sow back into our community. Visit The Orchard for more information.
Please note: we press our juices in the same area where we make our famous nut mylk, using Australian Almonds. While we do our best to clean everything thoroughly, we cannot make guarantees that all products are free from cross-contamination. Please be aware that xpressed juices may come into contact with tree nuts.
